I’m Lynn Dean, a veteran homeschool mama with over 30 years of experience. In addition to teaching my own children, I also taught 12 years in a thriving co-op, launched a support group in Europe, served as leader of a 200-family support group, and serve along with my husband as advisors to a robust regional support organization.
During COVID, I was part of a volunteer team providing support to hundreds of families across Texas who found themselves “suddenly homeschooling.”
I’m an author, a blogger, and a novelist as well as the creator of Discover Texas, an age-integrated, multi-sensory course that guides homeschool families as they “Discover Texas History…one adventure after another!” (Discover Texas, first published in 1999, also happened to be one of the first e-books.) My husband and I often speak at homeschool conventions in Texas.
I had many wise, generous mentors along the way. We usually met over coffee. My Homeschool Mentor Coffee Break was created in their honor and combines the fruit of all they taught me.
